Ducati Recall Alert: Potential Wheel Lockup Issue on Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 Models (2026)

Ducati Is Recalling Certain Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2s Over Potential Wheel Lockup

If you own a 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 or a 2025/2026 Ducati Streetfighter V2, this recall could affect your motorcycle. Ducati North America is investigating a fuse mix-up inside the ABS pump and its control unit. Specifically, the 25A fuse for the ABS pump and the 10A fuse for the ABS control unit – along with their fuse holders – may have been reversed and installed incorrectly by a supplier during assembly.

The issue occurred within particular production date windows. Affected Streetfighter V2 units were built between March 31, 2025 and June 12, 2025, while affected Panigale V2 units were produced between February 4, 2025 and May 23, 2025. Bikes manufactured after June 13, 2025 have had the fuses and fuse holders verified as correctly positioned and are not part of the recall.

Ducati North America estimates roughly 1,016 motorcycles could be impacted, about 1.2% of the total population, based on their records (see https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2025/RCLRPT-25V838-7166.pdf).

Warning signs of a potential problem include a dash message reading “ABS Error” that may appear and persist if the ABS pump fuse blows during braking. The ABS warning light on the dashboard could also illuminate and fail to turn off.

If the two fuses are reversed, the 10A fuse could blow, potentially impairing the ABS pump’s operation. This could lead to either the front or rear wheel locking up, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Ducati North America will begin notifying its dealer network between December 15–22, 2025. Affected bike owners who are registered with Ducati will be contacted between January 26 and February 2, 2026. Owners should arrange a free inspection at an authorized Ducati dealer to verify the fuse placements. If incorrect, recall service will be provided at no cost.
